This beautiful beige fabric with red flowers dates to the late 1800s and is still in remarkable condition.  Originally this was used as a sack in which one would store off-season clothing or coats.  It could still be used for this purpose or the fabric could be used in any project to give your home an authentic French touch.  It is sewn in the fashion of a sack, so it has two layers sown around the three outer edges with an original drawstring at the top.  The seam has come apart just slightly for about 14” near the drawstring, but the fabric is fine and could easily be restitched.  There is also a small L-shaped rip (about 3” x 3”) on one side that has been resewn quite well.
