RARE - Antique French White Feather Muff in Original Green Box from Au Bon Marché, Paris, c.1890
Like something out of an old movie! This would make the most amazing holiday/winter decoration! The box itself is a treasure, bearing an etching of the Au Bon Marché department store in Paris. The ivory muff is in great condition for a 140 year old item. It is stuffed with mohair with silk lining and a feather exterior. The box still has the ribbon connecting the lid and all of the original green paper covering, as well as the top paper with the etching. The bottom of the box is pretty delicate and is coming loose in spots as is the back vertical seam and the side has a bit of a stain on it. But to find the muff in its original box after all these years is amazing.
