Summer Candle Collection made exclusively for Aimee's French Market
I wanted to release a series of seasonal candles that would transport you to France, with all of its unique scents and aromas. And most importantly candles that have a REAL fragrance… not something that smelled like an air freshener you hang in your car! I couldn’t find any, so I decided to custom blend these myself and have a wonderful candle maker produce them here in the US just for Aimee’s French Market. And I will be releasing five new scents every season.
Each candle is 8oz. of a soy, coconut, beeswax blend, which burns cleanly and provides a longer lasting fragrance. They come in a tin (no breakage) and have a wood wick for a more natural feel. Some are priced a bit higher, as they have related garnishes on the top.
The summer collection:
Van Gogh’s Patio - a absinthe-scented candle with a slightly pale greenish-yellow tint, just like the real thing, and an amazing blend of anise and bright herbs.
Cavaillon Melon - The small town of Cavaillon is world renowned for its cantaloupes and this candle captures slicing into one of those gorgeous melons.
Lavender Lemonade - There is nothing like a cool glass of lemonade on a hot day, and I always serve mine with a bit of lavender. This candle is made from lavender and lemon essential oils and is topped with lavender flowers and dried lemon pieces.
Lavender Ice Cream - Melting lavender vanilla ice cream on a hot Provence day, this candle is topped with real lavender flowers. (So popular we are temporarily out of stock, but will be getting more soon.)
June Jasmine - Made only with 100% Jasmine essential oil and then topped with little jasmine buds, this one really transports you to the streets of Provence in the summer!

The candle definitely has a good melon scent! It’s refreshing and light. You can smell it as it burns but it is not overwhelming. I really like it! I’ve used it with both the candle warmer and by lighting it with a match.

Love the candle! First of all, it is beautiful. I love the wick (is it wood?) and the flora on top. And when the candle burns, a pretty, clear puddle forms on top, and the fruit, seeds and flowers float in it - just lovely. And the scent is wonderful: not overpowering but definitely wafts through the room. I have the lavender and lemon, and the scent is subtly floral and citrusy. These are candles I would buy for myself or as a gift. I highly recommend them.

The candle is lovely. The scent is fresh, not cloying (like Yankee Candle products) or overwhelming. And the candle, with its flecks of jasmine, is pretty. It’s a winner, I’d say!

The scent begins to fill a single room in about ten minutes- after an hour, the adjoining rooms were all lightly fragrant as well. The scent also lasted well after an hour of putting the candle out. It’s a beautiful scent- lavender/vanilla, balanced well, with neither overpowering the other. The vanilla isn’t a heavy “buttercream” fragrance and blends well with the herbal lavender. The candle has a good “slow burn” to it and isn’t all used up after an hour!

The candle is incredible! Exactly as I thought it would smell: licorice and anise. Not too strong but very pleasant. It made me long for a a visit to New Orleans and a sazarec!
