Vintage French Enamelware Pot, Blue Spatter Soup Pot with Lid

The pot that's simmered a hundred Sunday soups.

This is a French faitout — turquoise and white spatter enamel over steel, with a black rim and two sturdy side handles built for lifting straight off the stove. The mottled pattern was made by hand, spattered on before firing, so no two pots came out quite the same.

It has the marks of a life well spent in a kitchen, although nothing major, which just add to the patina.
