Antique French Enamel Coffee Grinder, c, 1920s

Before the drawer-front mills, there was this — the drum.

A French enamel coffee mill, cream tin body, cast iron crank turned with a small wooden knob worn smooth by hands that used it every morning. Lift the hinged lid and the grinding mechanism is right there — no drawer to hide the machinery, just the honest workings of it.

This was a kitchen tool built for repetition. You can feel that in the wear.

Condition — the enamel shows chipping and wear at the rim and lid, with surface rust on the iron crank and hinge. The mechanism turns and the lid latches. This is a well-loved piece.  Please look closely before purchasing.
