Beautiful French Vintage Blue Glass Siphon Bottle - Paris

These beautiful antique French blue seltzer/ soda siphons are all is great vintage condition and are the ultimate French antique. Used at the height of popularity in the 1920s and 30s during the Cocktail Era.

This one is certainly very unique as it comes from the “Société Anonyme des Glacières de Paris”. The old ice makers society. Yes, ice used to be taken from the Seine during the winter and stored in ice houses before those cubes came out of our fridge. It was formed in 1868 and the name changed in 1936 so it is definitely make before that. The etchings are beautiful and there straw is still present (although I don't think it is functional, but you could try). There is a very small ship on the backside and it does have a small amount of deposits on the inside.

Display it on a kitchen shelf. Stand it alone on a console table. Nestle it among other French bottles and let it anchor a vignette. It's a conversation starter: Who were the glaciers? What was Paris drinking?

I recently saw new "vintage reproductions" of these at a furniture store for $175! Why not have the real thing?
